Welcome to the official site of Douglas Cub Scout Pack 316. Sponsored by St. Denis Church, the mission of our pack is to build a foundation upon which our scouts will make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. The pack leadership has come together to deliver a FUN and EDUCATIONAL YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM that instills self-confidence, leadership skills, patriotism, compassion through service, and the love of the outdoors.

In addition, there’s a continual focus on Scout Spirit. According to the Boy Scouts of America, Scout Spirit applies to how a Scout lives and conducts their “daily” life. A scout shows Scout Spirit by being a role model to their peers, and living by the Scout Oath and Law. The concept of Scout Spirit is not based on how many Scouting events or outings a Scout attends, but rather by how they help bring out the best in others as a reflection of their own character and attitude in their “daily” life.

Our pack enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, Pinewood Derbies, STEM oriented activities, and much, much more! Our Pack has been recognized as a “Gold Unit” in Scouting’s Journey to Excellence Program.   Criteria that were evaluated included outdoor activities, trained leadership, service projects, building Cub Scouting, and advancement.  We take great pride in our program, our scouts, and our families!   Take a moment to learn more about us by browsing this site.

Boys and girls that are in the Kindergarten through fifth grade are always welcome to join our Scouting adventures!  Boys that are age eleven or older, please visit our Troop’s website.  Membership in our units is open to all boys and girls in Douglas regardless of religious affiliation.
